Bear Butte Gardens is a USDA organic certified, small family farm owned and usda_organic_logooperated by Michelle and Rick Grosek. Our goal is to provide the freshest, most nutritious farm products to our local customers. Our poultry (chickens and turkeys) are all USDA certified organic and raised in movable poultry tractors and coops on our organic pastures. We also raise certified organic vegetables which are a regular part of the poultry’s diet. Our beef and lamb are grass-fed, grass-finished on all certified organic pastures and hay and receive no grain, hormones, or antibiotics. We believe in slow, leisurely growth of all of our meat product animals. We process our own poultry on-site for whole, packaged broilers and Thanksgiving turkeys. We take our lambs and steers to either Sturgis Meat or Tri-County Locker (both within 20 miles) for processing. We generally have beef and lamb cuts/bundles on hand for sale or customers can place deposits on whole beef as well as quarters and halves and whole and half lambs for the next butchering cycle. Customers can pick up their meat products at Bear Butte Gardens by appointment or delivery in the northern Black Hills area can be arranged.
