Brittany Farms is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the historic Green Springs area. From birth to purchase, the cattle are well cared for and allowed to mature naturally. The grass fed beef roam a family farm that has not been treated with herbicides for decades. The farm currently carries both Angus and Devon mix, and strives to provide patrons with the utmost culinary experience. All fertilizer is natural cattle manure. The farm utilizes external forms of fly/pest control to minimize contact of the cows with pesticides. They are fed on natural forage subsidized with seasonal grasses to promote wildlife. They get their water from an artesian well and spend their stress free days in the shade of hundred year old trees. All of the fencing is without barbs; this promotes beautiful hides. They are fully vaccinated and wormed regularly. Antibiotics are given on an as-needed basis. No forms of steroids or other synthetic growth promoters are used with the cattle.
