About this farm

Brush & Trouble Farm is a pasture-based livestock operation located in northern Boone County, MO. We raise pigs and broiler chickens on pasture, supplementing with non-GMO feed and rotating regularly to fresh green forage. We also raise 100% grass-fed Jacob lamb and partner with Covered-L Farm in raising their 100% grass-fed beef (see Eatwild listing for Covered-L Farm). We also share Coverd-L's commitment to never use antibiotics or conventional de-wormers or feed grain to our ruminants. We use Management-Intensive Grazing practices to give our pastures time to recover before grazing again, and we work toward integration among livestock enterprises so that one species is fertilizing pasture for, or cleaning up after, the next. Our main goal is to help nourish other families while securing a future for our own as stewards of the land we call home. We sell whole lambs, pork by the half/whole and whole chickens to individuals seasonally throughout the year, so please get in touch for information about our next harvest. We also sell pork to Barred Owl Butcher & Table and pork and chicken at both Clovers Natural Market locations in Columbia, MO.
