About this farm

At the Garrett Family Farm, we strive to offer our community non-genetically modified pasture-raised pork, chicken, and chicken eggs alternatives. We believe in raising all natural, hormone- and antibiotic-free animals. We use no additives or preservatives in our animals. Our broilers are available periodically from spring through fall. We encourage customers to make future orders however large or small, and we also regularly attend several of the local farmers’ markets including: Carthage, Webb City, and Freeman markets. The broilers are raised on grass beginning at the third week of life in the protection of a "chicken tractor." The tractor is moved to fresh grass daily. They are fed a NON-GMO supplement of various grains for optimal health. We also offer eggs from pasture-raised hens that thrive on a diet of grass and bugs and whatever they can find. They sleep in a large mobile hay wagon coop and are allowed to roam during the day within their mobile fencing which is moved as needed to sustain a clean and healthy life. It is extremely important to us that our customers and their families know they are always welcome to visit our farm to establish a connection with their healthy, natural food. We believe in supporting our local community and staying small, building relationships with our customers. We are continuing to learn and are seeking advice with a goal of having quality pasture, land, and animals.
