About this farm

Grand View Pastures started as a family passion—a passion to raise our own food in the healthiest way we can, with the least impact on mother earth. We wanted to know how our food is raised, what it was fed, where did their water come from, and what medicine, drugs or hormones did it consume during its life? Not only did we want to know everything about our food, but we wanted to control the whole process, so we bought a ranch in the heart of the Missouri Ozark—clean air, fresh water and lush pastures! We started Grand View Pastures for ourselves and now have extra grass fed, young (10–14 month old) Angus beef cattle we can sell to you. All the cattle are raised using a rotational grazing method, NO HORMONES, no cramped feed lots, no antibiotics, no stress, no GMO feeds! We are not in the meat business! The Johnson Family wants to sell you a live animal (1/2 and 1/4 ownerships are also available.) We will give you a list of USDA certified butchers in our area where you can make your own arrangements for dry aging, butchering and shipping, no matter where you live. I will send you a beef chart and help you to study up on your cuts. We have 25 young beef cattle that we will sell this year and suggest that they be butchered anytime after August 2009 at about 600 to 700 pounds.
