About this farm

Harmony Farm provides soy-free, truly pasture-raised (no fences!), golden-yolked chicken eggs. No soy is best for the hens and your body. Soy-free chickens produce eggs with more omega-3 fatty acids. Soy-fed chickens cannot achieve a perfect 1:1 omega 3:omega 6 ratio and the soy depletes a hen's vitamin D stores as well. We are a very small farm of about 100 hens. We do not use any chemicals on our 40-acre farm and none of our neighbors do conventional farming. We use organic grains (it's non-GMO certified too!) from a local mill which only sources Midwest-grown organic grains. Although we are not a certified organic farm, we can verify our practices through receipts of purchased organic feed. Our chickens roost in a gutted out 1970s 5th wheel camper and they are very pleased with their living arrangement. Note: Child labor is used frequently for hand gathering eggs and occasionally scooping the coop! You can find us at the Fairfield, Iowa Farmers Market and delivery is available anywhere between Iowa City and Fairfield. We do on farm site sales too.
