About this farm

Idyll Acres Farm is a small family farm located 40 minutes from Lynchburg in Brookneal, VA. We maintain a flock of pastured laying hens from which we sell eggs during the farmers' market season and year-round at the farm. Delivery of eggs to your home in Lynchburg once/week, $3/dozen, on Sunday (need not be home). Dark brown, light brown, white and colored eggs from our free-range chickens. Whole processed chickens for your freezer available May-Sept. Turkeys available in the fall. Call for prices, availability. Our small flock of Nigerian Dwarf goats are fed a small amount of sweet feed during milking (once/day). Their babies are kept isolated from their mothers at night, and return to them after the morning milking session to nurse and graze during the day. The goats are fed primarily on pasture and supplemented with quality hay during the winter. Nigerian dwarf goats are available for purchase at certain times of the year.
