About this farm

JRS Country Acres is a small family owned operation dedicated to protecting the planet with sound, sustainable agricultural practices. Our farm philosophy is based on the old time principals: fresh air, sunshine, pasture and love. Everything we produce is raised organically without the aid of genetically altered seed, synthetic chemicals or antibiotics. As a result, our products are healthy lean and just plain taste better. All our poultry (laying hens, fryers/broilers, and heritage turkeys) are pastured raised supplemented with a minimum amount of organic grains. They are naturally lean yet tender and tasty. Our eggs have a brilliant orangish-yellow yolk that looks like sunshine. Freed from antibiotics and close living conditions, our pastured raised pigs thrive on fresh air, sunshine, vegetation and whatever else pigs manage to root up. We also raise produce, anything from apples to zucchini. Composted manure and old fashioned hand weeding make the best tasting produce.
