About this farm

JuJo Acres is a mom and pop farm that has been farmed organically since 1980. In the mid-70s, we started raising the heirloom French Limousin breed of beef cattle. Our present-day herd consists of Limousin, Charolais, Angus cross. Soon after certification became available, we registered with Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO) in 1999. We later registered with Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) as well as the American Grassfed Association (AGA). All this to say that our cattle are 100% grass-fed and cared for with love, and no need for dehorning, castration, growth hormones, grain of any kind, pesticides, herbicides, etc. ...ad nauseam. We have had a closed herd for over 15 years, which means all the cattle have been born and raised on our farm for generations and are acclimated to our soil and environment. We buy no outside cattle to fill your order. At JuJo Acres we keep it simple: new pasture daily from Spring to Fall, our certified organic hay in the winter, free-choice minerals and sea salt, and lots of TLC. Our cattle are gentle and easy to handle. We sell by individual cuts picked up at the farm by appointment, or orders delivered to drop-off sites in the greater Harrisburg area every 2nd Wednesday of each month. We also sell by 1/4 or 1/2 beef, delivered or picked up.
