About this farm
K2 Elk Company has been raising grass-fed Elk since 2001. Our animals are managed on pastures year-round. They are rotationally grazed in summer, and supplemented with hay on pasture in winter. During winter we provide portable windbreaks for shelter. Our Elk are raised without hormones or antibiotics. We do not feed grain, animal byproducts, or processed feeds. We do not use pesticides on our pastures or hayfields. When handling the animals, we use low stress techniques that are proven and very effective. New season product is available in August. The animals are processed at a new provincially inspected facility, a short distance from where they are raised. Products include jerky, sausage, hamburgers, steaks and roasts. Ranch tours are welcome.
