About this farm

PrairieSun Organics farm is located 1 mile north of Vermillion. It is a Certified Organic farm by MOSA that focuses on grass-based sustainable practices that result in high quality meat products and eggs. We raise pastured poultry, greenhouse vegetables, row crops, Idaho pastured pork, and fresh eggs. We also distribute organic, grass-fed beef for the local market. We have been marketing and distributing grass-fed and pastured meats since 2008. After a break in 2013–15, we are back and stronger than ever with a brand new e-commerce website.The special management of the family farm brings a wide range of biodiversity to the landscape through cooperation with nature. We do not use GMOs on our farm or in our processing. The entire chain of custody is certified organic for our meat and egg and vegetable products. We are very proud of our brand of beef. The flavor is amazing due to the grasses on which the cattle are finished on in fall. The mature warm season grasses native to SW South Dakota impart a flavor, juiciness, and marbling that can’t be beat. Our products are lab tested for nutrition content and food safety.
