About this farm

At Prodigy Farms we believe in sustainable, organic farming methods and the preservation of heritage breeds. Many of the breeds on our farm are listed by the Livestock Conservancy as endangered or threatened. Although we are not a certified organic farm yet, we only feed certified whole organic grains and minerals. We use no antibiotics, hormones, pesticides or herbicides. All feed is fermented in Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar before being fed to our livestock. Pastured Organic Mulefoot Pork This pork is not the other white meat! We are so blessed to be raising critically endangered mulefoot pigs on our farm! (Less than 200 registered worldwide) Our pigs produced dark red meat that is heavily marbled with a nice lard cap. They are rotated through 40 acres of pasture and timber throughout the year where they snack on alfalfa and clover, pick up dropped fruit in our orchards and hunt for acorns and hickory nuts in the fall! We supplement our pigs with less than 10% of their body weight in certified organic oats, barley and alfalfa that has been fermented to give our pork a unique, clean flavor that is unlike any other! Pastured Organic Poultry: Chicken. All our birds are all free-range—not raised in chicken tractors! Duck. Our ducks are raised on pasture and provided with free access to a pond to live their ducky lives to the fullest! Heritage Turkey. Our free-range organic heritage turkeys are available fresh year around! At Thanksgiving we also offer Broad Breasted Pastured Organic Turkeys. Pastured Organic Chicken Eggs. Our critically endangered Barred Holland Chickens are the rarest of American Chicken breeds. Pond and Pastured Organic Duck Eggs. Our Saxony and Buff ducks are listed by the Livestock Conservancy as threatened. Grain-Free Pastured Organic Goat Meat. (Availability varies.)
