Red Hill Farms

About this farm

Red Hill Farms was established March 4th 1941 when James Martin Bryant and his family were forced off their Ohatchee, Alabama farm to make way for the Pelham Range training area of Fort McClellan. His son David helped start a new farm in Cropwell, Alabama with production of cotton, pork, cattle, honey and vegetables. We now are entering our 4th generation on the farm, and things have changed a lot. We no longer raise cotton, and chicken and hogs have been missing for a number of years. We basically raised cattle and hay as our only commodities. But pork and poultry are back. This will be our fourth year raising pastured chicken and our second year raising free range pork. The beef we offer for sale is grass finished and fed hay when grazing is short. Our pigs and chickens are fed organic rations along with what they forage for on pasture. The beef, pork and poultry we raise now are all natural, no hormones, no antibiotics, pasture-finished and taste great as well as better for you than most other sources. The beef and pork are sold as whole or halves, and we keep whole hog sausage and ground beef on hand for sale at the farm. Other cuts are available from time to time. Poultry is sold as whole dressed broilers from late Spring to early Fall. Please call for current prices and available products. Look us up on Facebook.com/redhill.farms.
