About this farm
Roffey Cattle Company is owned and operated by David Roffey, a retired veterinarian. The farm is approximately 260 acres of pasture and woodlands in Southwest Virginia. Although not organically certified, our goal is a sustainable, symbiotic grass farming operation. The centerpiece of the farm is our Red Devon beef herd. The herd is in its sixth year of development, and now consists of over 100 head of Devon Cattle. The end goal is to produce the high quality "Devine Devon" grass finished beef that the breed is known for. Free-range chickens, layers and broilers complement our cattle production. Geese are also available seasonally from our gaggle. Beef is sold by hanging weights in quarter and half carcass lots. Poultry and geese products are available at the farm seasonally. Free-range forest reared pigs will soon be added to our farm operation. We encourage visits to our farm.
