About this farm

Scarletoak Farm is nestled in the northeastern hills of Connecticut's "quiet corner," about 15 minutes from the Rhode Island border. Here at Scarletoak Farm we pride ourselves on exclusively 100% grass-fed, grass-finished quality beef. We rotationally graze our herd on lush native grasses. Our cows enjoy grass forage and always have fresh water. The health of our soil is important to us and we test it regularly, putting in only what is natural and beneficial to the land around us. We value and honor the connections in the environment and pride ourselves on having the highest quality product we can provide as we constantly strive for sustainability. We do not use herbicides, steroids, hormones or enhancers in making our natural product. It is important to us that our beef bovines are treated humanely from the beginning to the end. We use Meatworks of Southern New England, a state-of-the-art USDA inspection facility for our butchering practices and utilize Temple Grandin's design of stress-free handling. We sell our product by the quarter, half, or whole, or by the piece at our farm. Please call Tammy and Greg Goodwin or email us for availability at stores and farmers markets.
