About this farm

Skipping Stone Farm is a small family farm in Utica, OH that raises and markets pasture fed beef. We have been providing pasture-fed freezer beef directly to customers for over a decade. Our herd of Belted Galloway cross cattle has grown steadily over the years, nurtured by all-natural pasture, unprocessed minerals, and clean well water. Our cattle are born and raised the way Nature intended: Out on the grass, enjoying the freedom to stroll, graze, and enjoy the sunshine! Even though we are not certified organic, we follow sustainable farming practices. We do not use hormones or sub-therapeutic levels of antibiotics. The cattle drink water from the same well that we do. For the benefit of our customers, we work with a processor who provides a long dry age time, for tender, tasty beef. NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR BULK BEEF ORDERS: SPLIT QUARTERS, SIDES, OR WHOLE BEEVES. We will help you navigate the custom processing experience if you have never bought bulk beef before. Bulk beef orders are processed in the fall. Individual retail cuts are also available year-round for sale on farm; please call for pricing and to make arrangements. We also raise Salatin-style pastured broiler chickens and are building a breeding flock of Heritage Bourbon Red Turkeys. Please call for availability on either of these items.
