Swatara Springs Farm

About this farm

Swatara Springs Farm raises Highland and cross-bred cattle on 150 acres surrounded on three sides by the Swatara Creek in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Our hay fields and pastures are managed as organic with rotational grazing and gentle, humane, free-range outdoor cattle management. No growth hormones, no concentrates, no corn, no grains, no pesticides, no herbicides, no chemical fertilizers, no anti-biotics, no feed lots, no confinement – No, no, no! Our cattle live, graze, breed and grow to maturity on clean pasture with good hay and haylage we grow on the farm, clean fresh water, and just a little minerals and salt for health. They enjoy wooded edges in the pasture for shelter from the heat and cold. They remain in their herd and are gentle, very lean and flavorful. We use only USDA inspected butchers (but not certified organic butchers since none are available here). Our grass-fed beef is available locally at the Palmyra Real Food Emporium in Palmyra, Lebanon County, PA, or in bulk by contacting us by email.
