About this farm

The Nutty Pig Farm is home to Red Wattle and Large Black heritage hogs (pork), which are known for their great tasting meat. We raise them on pastures of clover and orchard grass. We rotate the pastures and in the winter give the hogs alfalfa or clover hay.They are always free to roam the woods to forage for nuts and grubs. We supplement with grains - no hormones or medication. They live a natural life farrowing where they choose - some like the woods, some the pasture and some their shelters. We have a boar of each breed with their own families, all ages together - they have fun loving to run around, graze the pastures, or wallow in their pond and self made mud holes. We offer piglets, roasting and butcher hogs, 1/2 and whole hogs or cuts of meat. We will deliver the hogs to the processor of the customers choice. We mostly use Swiss meats as they do a great job and are USDA. We do have our products at the St. Clair Farmers Market every Saturday morning and will deliver meat to customers locally and in St Louis.
