About this farm

Virginia Sweet Grass Farm is located in Hartwood, Virginia, approximately 6 miles northwest of Fredericksburg. We offer 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef in quantities starting at 25-lb family packs; pork from heritage-breed pigs that are raised in the forest on non-GMO feed and acorns; and eggs from happy chickens that roam our yard and woodland. We raise Angus and Devon-Angus cattle while practicing rotational grazing to improve our farm, protect the environment, and support our community. We do not use chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or fungicides. We do not use growth hormones, steroids or antibiotics. We do not feed any grain. Our cattle thrive on natural pasture, while consuming fescue, orchard grass, and clovers. Although not certified organic, the cattle are managed organically and fed free-range organic minerals. In addition, they are raised in a low stress environment with every consideration given to their overall well being. We sell our eggs by the dozen, the pork by the pound, and beef in family packs, 1/4, 1/2 and wholes. If you have questions, visit our website or give us a call.
