About this farm

Weatherbury Farm is a sustainable, integrated family-owned beef and sheep farm located SW of Pittsburgh. Weatherbury Farm was awarded the 2012 PCO (Pennsylvania Certified Organic) Sustainability Award. After 20 years of a cow-calf operation, in 2007 we began producing grass-fed/grass-finished beef and lamb for sale directly to consumers. Our livestock receive no artificial hormones or antibiotics and we use no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Animals are rotationally grazed on certified organic* pastures on our 100-acre farm. They are fed certified organic* wrapped dry hay and balage during the winter months, and bedded on certified organic* straw. Beef and lamb are available by pre-order. Freezer beef is sold by the half and split quarter. Cut lists for beef and lamb can be found on our website. Both the beef and lamb are processed locally using dry-aging. Please visit our website for current pricing. Customers receive a copy of Jo Robinson’s Pasture Perfect with their first order. We also publish an email grass-fed newsletter—please sign up on our website. We also offer farm vacations to educate about farming/agriculture. See our website for details. * Weatherbury’s pasture, hay and cropland are certified by Pennsylvania Certified Organic. We do raise certified organic grains (wheat, rye, oats, spelt, open pollinated corn, emmer and einkorn) for human consumption. Our organic grains are available as flour and/or pasta.
