About this farm

Wholesome Food Farm is a small farm owned by the Moseley Family, a second-generation farming family, raising 100% grass fed beef in beautiful southeastern Berks County, Pennsylvania. The mission of Wholesome Food Farm is to create a healthy farm environment, which produces a healthy, happy and contented animal, providing the consumer with a quality product. Black Angus cattle are organically raised and have free range in lush pastures made up of clover, timothy and orchard grass...never confining to a feed lot. During the winter months, cattle are fed haylage and dry hay, organically grown at Stone Mill Farm, a nearby farm. Cattle are never fed corn or any type of grain, adhering to the grass fed guidelines. Growth hormones and antibiotics are never used. Like the cattle on our farm, the chickens, sheep, and alpacas are given access to fresh air, sunshine and clean pastures. Our model of farming consists of constant animal and soil management, which means we are involved in all aspects of the animal's production life-cycle. Our full-service farm store offers grass fed beef, pastured pork, and chicken. You’ll also find pastured eggs, raw milk aged and artisan cheeses, raw milk, yogurt, kefir, organic fermented products and a variety of locally-crafted pantry items. Books and free literature always can be found, with information on cooking; gardening; homesteading, etc. Cash, checks, and credit cards are always accepted. FARM STORE HOURS: Saturday (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Sunday (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
