About this farm
B Bar S Ranch is a beef cattle ranching operation with two family-owned Colorado locations in the scenic Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Our high mountain pasture in Nederland, CO has been family owned since 1968 and our high plains ranch south of Elizabeth, CO has been family-owned and operated since 1990. The beef that we provide will have been fed over the summer on grass in the high mountain pasture. Our cattle are not given any growth hormones or antibiotics. They live healthy lives with exercise, plenty of grass, fresh mountain spring water and open space. We take precautions to never overgraze our land and use a rotational grazing system to keep the feed fresh and loaded with nutrition. We sell beef to our customers in early September of every year. There is a minimum order of 1/4 of a beef. The best way to order is to split a half with someone you know. We will help you with communicating the specifics to the packer so the meat gets cut and packed to the specifications best for your family needs. Currently we have our beef processed at Arapahoe Packing in Lafayette, CO.
