About this farm

WiMo Farms is a small family farm nestled against the foothills of beautiful Berthoud, CO. We take great pride in the humane treatment of all of our animals and believe that all animals should be treated with respect and kindness from birth through butcher. Our main business is our small raw milk share program from our lovely Jersey cows. They are nearly completely grass-fed, but since we do not have access to pasture year-round, they are fed high quality hays, both grass and alfalfa. We do provide them with a very small amount (about a pound per milking) of no-soy, no-corn grain whilst in the stanchion during milking. Unlike many dairies, our calves stay with their mamas until they are ready to wean. Our girls seem so incredibly happy and we’ve never had any stress or anxiety when the time comes for them to be apart. We also take great pride in raising free-range, pastured Muscovy ducks, turkeys and a limited number of chickens, all on 100% certified organic feed. Our no-corn, no-soy chicken eggs are available seasonally directly from the farm too. We raise more ducks each year than any other bird and can usually provide duck year-round. Muscovy duck meat is actually the leanest of all poultry and has less fat and less calories per pound than turkey with the breasts being 99 percent lean! It is an incredibly versatile meat. We sell our ducks whole, so you can harvest duck fat to render for your home use too. Our philosophy is that happy animals doing what nature intended them to do (foraging, socializing, digging, scratching, catching bugs) provide healthier meat, eggs and milk for us, our family and friends.
