About this farm
Border Springs Farm, nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a pristine location for pasture raised lamb. We attempt to do one thing and do it well. We raise Texel (commonly referred to as the Gourmet Meat Sheep) and the very low-maintenance hair sheep, Katahdins. Our ewes and lambs are humanly treated and cared for (certification pending). Border Springs Farm is also designated as "Virginia's Finest" lamb producers by the Virginia Department of Agriculture. Our naturally raised lamb is noted for its leanness and tenderness. The Texel lamb has bigger eyes in the chops. All of our lamb is USDA inspected and can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States. Chops are 2" thick, shoulder steaks are 1" thick. Whole and half lambs are available which include; chops, whole leg roasts (2), shanks (4), shoulder steaks, ground lamb, and stew lamb.
