Dewberry Hills Farm—the Omnivore's Delight! Howdy—we're Jane and Terry Levan and we specialize in pastured poultry and grass fed beef raised in accordance with the principals outlined by Joel Salatin of Polyface Farm. From birth to processing, we take responsibility for every step of our broilers' lives. Our birds are raised on fresh green grass in movable chicken pens. They are never fed hormones or antibiotics or anything we would be afraid to eat ourselves. The taste and nutritional value of both our boilers and our eggs is absolutely wonderful. Our clients tell us that our birds are the best chickens that they've ever had the pleasure of eating. We feature a select number of ducks and heritage turkeys seasonally. Please contact us soon if you are interested in a 'real' turkey for the 2008 holiday season. We also offer a limited supply of grass fed beef from our Dexter cattle, a breed whose meat is known to be leaner and lower in cholesterol. Located just 50 miles from Austin and Bastrop, we have a home delivery service with a minimum order. We invite our clients and friends to visit us by appointment on our farm to see how their food is raised. Warning: all drop-in visitors will be put to work!
