About this farm

Evermore Farm is a small, family-owned and operated livestock and produce farm. We are located in Westminster, MD with easy access from Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC; Frederick, MD; and south-central Pennsylvania. Although we are not certified organic, we run our farm in a sustainable manner. We support local food systems, better stewardship of our land, and raising animals with respect. We offer seasonal shares of our produce, meats (beef, pork, lamb), poultry (chickens) and eggs. We raise fork-tender Dexter/Belted Galloway beef cattle, wonderfully mild tasting Katahdin lambs, and flavorful heritage Berkshire hogs. We have fresh eggs from Rhode Island Reds and produce free-range broilers (chickens) March-November. We promote an intelligent husbandry that supports a more sustainable farming and food system. Our lambs and beef are grass-fed and all our animals are raised without added hormones or antibiotics. We follow natural sustainable farming practices, including rotational grazing. Grazing on open pasture helps with the general health of the animals: they get exercise, absorb sunshine, and breathe fresh air. They seem happier that way, and we are, too. All of our meat is USDA inspected for quality. You have several options when purchasing our meats and poultry for your freezer—at our farm store, on-line ordering, delivery available. We offer whole, half and quarter steers, whole and half hogs, and whole lambs. Multi-Season CSA meat, poultry and egg shares available. Check our website for price and availability. John and Ginger have made lots of great friends working in agriculture and as producers. Evermore Farm is their ardent effort to “walk the talk” about the viability of diversified, sustainable small farms. However, both agree that their best “crop” is their children, Susan and Andrew.
