About this farm

Ruth Ann's Garden Style Beef is produced on a 140-acre "all-grass" farm about an hour from Washington, DC and Baltimore and 20 minutes northwest of Frederick, Maryland. We are the third generation to manage the farm, which has been in the family since 1938. We practice management intensive grazing, a pasture system that utilizes multiple smaller pastures with frequent animals movements. This allows better weight gain and is more environmentally friendly, resulting in a much healthier and nutritious pasture.
