Hensing’s Hilltop Acres

About this farm

Hensing’s Hilltop Acres is a grass-based small family farm located in Howard County, Maryland convenient to Columbia and Ellicott City. We are easily accessed from I-70, Route 32 & Route 29. Our farm raises Jersey cows and sells raw milk (legally labeled and sold as pet milk). We also raise Berkshire Cross pastured/woodlot pork, sold by the whole, half or by the cut. Pastured poultry (ducks, chickens, turkeys and geese) are available seasonally. We raise 100% grass fed beef that is sold by the cut, half or whole. We will have Katahdin lamb available in January 2016. Our animals are rotationally grazed when pasture is available. In the winter or times of drought, our animals are fed hay that we (mostly) make ourselves from fields that are not sprayed or chemically treated. Our dairy cows get a small treat of non-GMO grain at milking time. Our pigs and poultry are pastured in large fields and they also have non-GMO grain available to them. All animals are provided free-choice minerals, kelp and salt (where appropriate). We would love to introduce you to the animals. Contact us to schedule a farm tour.
