About this farm

Starr Valley Farm is a certified organic family owned and operated farm in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, PA. We are 35 miles NE of Pittsburgh, between Apollo and New Kensington. We raise 100% grass fed Angus-Hereford beef. Our ~30 head of cattle rotationally graze through the growing season and eat our organic hay all winter. The result is slow grown, healthy, flavorful beef. We dry age our beef 21 days and sell in mixed increments of 1/8, (about 40lb/box). A typical box has about 8-10 lbs of vacuum packed steaks (NY Strips, Fillet Mignons, Sirloins, Short ribs, and Delmonicos), about 2-3 roasts at 3# each (chuck or rump), and the balance of lean ground. We typically have beef available throughout the year but sell ahead of slaughter date by allowing customers to sign up for portions in advance on a first come, first serve basis. We keep everyone appraised of processing dates so we can coordinate on-farm pick-up. Please send email for current pricing, next availability or any other inquiries.
