Founded by Bill Kurtis—journalist, rancher, conservationist, and proud owner of The Red Buffalo Ranch in Sedan, Kansas—Tallgrass Beef Company is raising cattle that roam in the open and graze on natural grasses rich in nutrients and high in anti-oxidants. The result is beef that's rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, high in Vitamin E, higher in beneficial unsaturated fat, and lower in saturated fat and cholesterol. You can taste the difference. Tallgrass works with independent, family-owned farms and ranches to raise cattle in their grass-fed, grass-finished program.
